Rimmel Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Varnish | Rimmel Apocalips | MUA Nail Polishes | NYC Expert Last Lipstick | NYC Cheek Glow | Seventeen Doll's Up Mascara | Rimmel Scandal Eyes Mascara
I asked a little while a go if anyone would be interested in seeing the beauty bits I picked up in Boots and Superdrug a couple of weekends ago, and quite a few of you said you would. So I decided to make the most of the high street for once as I usually buy higher end products as I think they just agree with my sensitive skin more and the purchase seems that little bit more exciting. However, I'm really impressed with these products so far.
The Barry M Gelly Nail Varnish in Papaya is such a gorgeous colour and lives up to all the raving reviews. It stays for about three days before any chips start to show and only needs two coats to be opaque. I have the Rimmel Celestial Apocalips and was so impressed that I wanted some brighter colours for when I go out. For me, these are the perfect combination of staying power, glossy finish and pigmentation. I hate how often I have to reapply my lipsticks, and my lips are quite dry so always have to smooth on some balm as well. The MUA varnishes require a few applications to be opaque as they have quite a watery formula - but I guess this can be expected for the cheap price. I've been using the NYC Cheek Glow Bronzer every day since I bought it as it lasts all day and is the perfect shade for my light skin tone. The Seventeen Doll'd Up mascara and Rimmel Scandal Eyes mascara have become part of my every day make-up routine as Doll'd Up really lengthens and separate my lashes, whilst the Scandal Eyes gives volume and thickness. The NYC Expert Last Lipstick in Modern Love is also a new favourite of mine. I love the girly pink colour of it and the formula is glossy but not sticky, and as the name promises it lasts for ever!
I'm so please with these purchases and love that they all have affordable price tags! What have you picked up from the high street recently?
