Admiration for Oversized-Bags.

Finding the perfect oversized bag is always hard for me. I'm often pulled in to the smaller shoulder or tote designs (hense why not all the above are oversized bags!) as these tend to be more "cute" and easier to wear, not forgetting ~cheaper. But oversized bags are 100% more practical, especially for lugging my SLR and tripod around! After damaging my SLR today from stuffing my shoulder bag full of school stuff as well as my camera, I thought it was appropriate to start looking for a larger bag! Above are just a few that have caught my eye, varying in styles and prices.

1 Large Washed Leather Holdall; I find Topshop very trusting when it comes to bags. Most of mine are from there and I've never had any problems with them even after 3 years of heavy duty use! I like the traditional tan colour of this one, and the fact that it's leather means it will survive my constant toing-and-frowing. I love having the choice of a shoulder strap or shorter handles to be balanced on your arm, and the classic design makes it easy to wear.

2 Dark Beige Leather and Suede Tote Bag; The panels of different material definitley drew me to this bag, and also the classic and simple design. It's a reasonable size and easy to wear. I feel the only downfall is the poppers to fasten it. I would much prefer a zip to keep valuables dry!

3 Large Zip Detail Shopper; New Look isn't somewhere I tend to shop as I generally find my local one is full of rubbish and cheap take-offs of Topshop. But I think their SS12 collection is a great improvement and hope to be seeing some of the decent items in my local store! The size of this bag is perfect - it even has double carry handles and a shoulder strap. It fastens with a zip and has some simple but classy detailing on the outside.

4 Ostrich Buckle Lady Satchel; I know this isn't an oversized bag, but I had to include it I love it so much! The satchel design is timeless but is brought up to date with detailing on the flap-over-front and interesting contrast in colours. Even though it fastens with a clasp, it has an adjustable shoulder strap and inner pockets. This will definitley be staying on my wish list for a while!

5 Leather Panel Shopper Bag; I mainly chose this bag for the size and simple design. It's real leather so durable but there is little information about how it fastens - so I expect it doesn't. The panel stitch detailing gives it a classier look and is overall a very chic and sophisticated style. I'm liking this bag more and more as I look at it on the website!

6 Taylor Oversized Satchel; I'm finding it difficult to come to terms with the fact I will never own this bag due to the price tag - but I've wanted it for so long now! The structured shape makes it a little bigger than it seems - but I'm tricking myself into thinking this is big enough. Obviously this another bag that is far too small to be practical for every day use (unfortunatley). I just really love the chic classy design that makes it really wearable and easy to outfit-match. It even has a zip and detachable straps and an inside pocket! I'm sure this will be on my wish list forever, like all Mulberry bags!
